A Team Built Around Agriculture, Business, and Growth

Updated: Oct 15
Cattleman’s Creed brings together agricultural knowledge, practical experience, education, and a shared commitment to helping farmers and ranchers succeed.
John Calderon has spent much of his life connected to agriculture, ranching, water, and the land. Raised largely in Oklahoma on a cattle ranch, John gained firsthand experience raising beef cattle, maintaining livestock, and understanding the challenges facing agricultural producers. His background includes agricultural and agricultural business education, undergraduate studies in water engineering, irrigation system design, soil sampling, and research into water conservation and groundwater resources.
John’s interests include soil health, biochar, compost, irrigation efficiency, aquifer conservation, and practical ways to help producers reduce water and input costs while maintaining productive land. Through Cattleman’s Creed, he wants to bring agricultural experience and conservation knowledge together to help strengthen the future of American agriculture.
Amanda Calderon holds a master’s degree from the University of Colorado Colorado Springs and brings previous nonprofit experience, along with skills in research, organization, and project development. Her background can help support the process of identifying grant opportunities, researching eligibility requirements, organizing application materials, and preparing funding proposals that clearly communicate a producer’s needs and goals.
Working together, John and Amanda want to help farmers and ranchers explore funding opportunities for equipment, water conservation, irrigation improvements, livestock infrastructure, soil health projects, and other investments that may help their operations grow. While not every grant will cover every purchase or project, we will work to identify programs that align with each producer’s needs and eligibility.
Our services will extend across Colorado, Oklahoma, and Kansas, with opportunities researched according to the state, county, type of operation, and proposed project. We understand that every farm and ranch is different. Our goal is to provide practical, honest guidance and help producers find resources they may not know are available.
We believe the future of agriculture depends on supporting the people who work the land. By combining our strengths, we hope to help producers pursue new opportunities, strengthen their businesses, conserve natural resources, and build operations that can serve the next generation.
Protect the water.
Strengthen the soil. Support the producer. Preserve American agriculture.

Ranchers & Farmers need upgrades in equipment! Can you help us with grants separate from the USDA to achieve this goal? It’s been a rough year for some of us.
